Reading, Racing, & Recycling!

SCI-APS / NASCAR GIVEAWAY

We 💖 Sci-Aps and Viking Motorsports! #38

More Books = More Races

Help increase the recycling rate by getting our books into the hands of as many children as possible. We’re calling on the business community to donate our books to elementary schools in your neighborhood. When children read (or are read to) our books, they spring into action and start collecting cans immediately. This then leads to behavioral change!

In partnership with our friends at Sci-Aps, we’re giving away tickets to every NASCAR race (33 races) this season. This is your chance to experience the thrill of racing from trackside! You’ll also get to meet the real life Ricky Bobby……

“Will race anything with a steering wheel and a motor.”

Story time with Recycling is like Magic!, NASCAR, Viking Motorsports & Sci-Aps

On Saturday morning at 10:30am, don’t miss NASCAR drivers Ryan Sieg and Matt DiBenedetto as they captivate fans by reading “The Girl Who Recycled a Million Cans”. It promises to be an unforgettable moment for fans of all ages!

SciAps 200 at New HampshireMotor SpeedwayJoin SciAps as we team up with “The Girl Who Recycled 1 Million Cans” and her readers for the SciAps 200 Recycling event at the Fan Zone in New Hampshire Motor Speedway!

Aluminum cans are entirely recyclable, yet less than half are properly recycled, contributing to unnecessary waste in landfills and higher energy consumption. Recycling cans not only conserves valuable resources but also slashes energy usage by 95% compared to producing cans from raw materials. Remarkably, a recycled can can be back on store shelves in just 60-90 days.

In the SciAps footprint of the fan zone, we will have a recycling bin donated by Harding Metals for aluminum cans. All proceeds will go to the Northwood School.

We will have can-drop hours on· Friday from 12pm-5pm· Saturday and Sunday from 10-3pm. People donating cans will be able to enter a raffle for a $100 gift card.

Each day, we will select 5 winners (that’s 15 people in total). We will have bags available for people to take with them to their campers or the stands to gather cans.

Our golf cart will collect cans in the camping areas. But that’s not all—join us for even more excitement with a NASCAR simulator where fans can experience the thrill of racing firsthand, alongside numerous giveaways.

Recycled Materials at the heart of SciAps Tech SciAps founders have been in the recycling tech business for a long time, helping to develop the first XRF in the mid 1990s. Partnering with Recycling is like Magic! (Scrap University Kids) to promote aluminum can recycling was a no-brainer for SciAps CEO and co-founder Don Sackett: “We are thrilled to collaborate with ‘The Girl Who Recycled a Million Cans’ to showcase the significance of recycled materials in such an exciting and public way. Our technology plays a vital role in the recycled materials industry, and this partnership is a perfect opportunity to highlight the importance of sustainable practices in everyday products.” - Sci-Aps
